Stretch Marks - Striae
Striae, better known as 'stretch marks' are most commonly thought of in association with pregnancy due to their regular appearance at this time due to the thinning of the skin, a loss of elasticity and the tearing of collagen bundles due to the skin being significantly 'stretched' in what is a comparatively short period of time.
